Australian Government boards

Australian Government boards, bodies and committees cover a wide range of responsibilities, including policy advisory boards, Government Business Enterprises, and review and enquiry boards.

A high-performing board explores ideas, options and improves the quality of the questions raised at the boardroom table.

Having a diverse representation of people on Australian Government boards, councils and committees strengthen and increase their performance and promote innovation.

The Australian Government is committed to women holding 50 per cent of Government board positions overall with at least 40 per cent representation of both men and women on individual boards.
